What’s Combigrid?  

The Lianyi® Company is the manufacturer of the pp geocomposite,combigrid,it’s specialized geocomposites engineered for soil stabilization and reinforcement applications. These geogrids are produced through the integration of pp biaxial geogrid with a polyester nonwoven geotextile or pp nonwoven geotextile, ensuring enhanced performance and durability.

Lianyi®Combirgrid are composite of polypropylene(PP) geogrid and PET continuous filament nonwoven geotextile by heat bonding. The non woven geotextile as a separation layer between subgrade soils, and the geogrid provides stabilization of soils. Main types: 20-20kN/m,30-30kN/m and 40-40Kn/m.Roll size: 3.95*50m,5.95*50m etc.

How To Use Warp Knitted Polyester Geogrid? 

Polyester geogrid should be laid on coarse grained stone of asphalt layer of construction pavement, the original pavement should be leveled first, constructed after finishing, repairing and cleaning, fixed PET geogrid  overlap with special steel nails is needed for ordinary woven polyester geogrid, joint transverse greater than 5 cm, longitudinal greater than 10 cm, PVC coated polyester geogrid treated with asphalt should be laid as little as possible with asphalt adhesive oil, and self-adhesive. The asphalt mixture can be paved and compacted after proper rolling by rubber wheel roller in the construction of knitted polyester geogrid without special steel nails.

What’s Asphalt Geogrids?

Lianyi® Asphalt Geogrids are available in two versions,both for road asphalt reinforcement.First option is fiberglass geogrid and self-adhesive fiberglass geogrid.The second option is a geocomposite made by fiberglass geogrid glued or stitched with PET or PP non woven geotextile which increase the contact surface original layer.

What’s PP Biaxial Geogrids?

Lianyi® PP Biaxial Geogrids are specifically designed for the stabilization and reinforcement of soil.These Geogrids are expertly manufactured by using different grades of Polypropylene(PP) and are produced using and extrusion and stretching method that yields Geogrids with highly increased tensile properties in both machine and transverse directions.

The manufacturing process produces a unique grid structure,consisting of high strength junctions and stiff ribs.When installed in the soil,the interlocking of the aggregate within the apertures of the Geogrids allows for the effective reinforcement of the soil.This interlock mechanism helps restrain lateral movement of aggregate particles.

How Do PP Biaxial Geogrids Work?

Immediate stabilization and reinforcement of road structure

The semi-stiff composite aggregate scheme allows for the reinforcement of aggregate,even on extremely low load-bearing surfaces.Blocking of the aggregate by the geogrid is a key factor during the pre-compaction of the road foundation,as well as for the further behaviour of the road in lifetime.A high elastic modulus(stiffness of geogrid)is considered to be the main feature which enables effective restriction of movement of the aggregate and as a result,an effective reinforcement of structure.

Blocking and horizontal fixing of aggregate

Thanks to the rigid construction based on non movable nods,which immediately responds to pressure,the PP Biaxial Geogrids prevent aggregate shifts.Used to reinforce the road structure,PP Biaxial Geogrids prevent horizontal displacement and penetration of aggregate grains into the weak substrate and the loss of stability of the foundation layer.

Separation

The PP Biaxial Geogrids placed between the road foundations and the subsoil work as a separator preventing the mixing of the materials with different grain size and load bearing capacity.Geogrids help avoid the penetration of aggregate into the weak substrate and the loss of stability of the foundation layer.

On boggy substructures or in case of materials of unfavourable grain size,where the separating function needs to be enhanced,PP Geocompsoites are used,PP Geogrids combined with non woven geotextile.
